GNO Insights puts new drinks into the hands of genuine pub customers. We deliver verified evidence of repeat purchase, honest sentiment and whether pub operators are ready to stock.
Most trial campaigns tell a brand what it wants to hear. GNO Insights is built to tell you what's actually happening at the bar.
Feedback is captured with no brand presence at the point of consumption — customers respond to the product, not a promotion.
Every figure in our reports ties back to a real, timestamped redemption on the platform. No projections, no assumptions.
Campaigns run through an independent network of trading pubs — real bar staff, real footfall, real purchasing decisions.
Venues are anonymised in every report. It's what keeps our pub partners engaged and honest, campaign after campaign.
Bar staff have an honest word with customers when there's a natural moment — never at the cost of them doing their job. Around half of all redemptions become a comment, correlated into the patterns that matter, so you see what people actually thought — not a polished highlight reel.
Every campaign runs on the Gr8NiteOut platform, targeting real customers who are already out in a participating pub — not a lab, not a focus group.
Customers check in at one of our participating pubs on the Gr8NiteOut app to let friends and family around the world see where they are. That check-in is also what makes them eligible for a credit — real people, not recruited for a taste test.
GNO Insights buys a credit for your product and sends it their way. It's valid for 30 days, so there's no need for them to still be in the pub when it's bought — they redeem it whenever suits. Every credit carries a personal touch: a message, a photo, or the chance to add a 20-second promotional video introducing the product.
They redeem it at the bar and enjoy it in their own time, with their own friends around the table. No sampling stand, no rep hovering nearby, no sense of being watched — just your product, poured and enjoyed the normal way.
The bar person is very often someone the customer already knows. When they get a natural moment — never forced, never at the cost of doing their actual job — they'll ask in passing what the customer thought, and if they didn't enjoy it, why not. It's a chat, not a survey, and it's why we expect around half of all redemptions to turn into a comment we can use: 80 credits redeemed, roughly 40 honest reactions logged.
Those comments — around half of all redemptions — are correlated into clear themes and a representative spread of quotes, positive and negative, and reported back to you. Nothing is filtered out for being negative, and nothing is dressed up to look better than it was.
A launch decision needs more than one point of view. GNO Insights captures all three sides of the bar. (Figures below are illustrative, taken from our sample report — see it in full further down the page.)
Unprompted reactions from people who genuinely tried the product — taste, presentation and price-per-serve, all captured without a brand rep in the room.
Bar staff ask when there's a natural moment — did you like it, and if not, why not? It's never made compulsory and never allowed to get in the way of them doing their actual job, which is why we plan around roughly half of all redemptions turning into a comment: 80 credits redeemed, around 40 honest reactions. Those get correlated into clear themes and handed back as a representative spread, nothing left out because it's negative.
The number that actually matters for a listing conversation: would the person who controls the taps and shelves commit to your product?
"Born on the Wild Atlantic. Brewed for the Bold." Erris Lager is a fictional brand, created purely to show you exactly what a real GNO Insights report looks like — the structure, the depth, and the level of honest detail you'd receive for your own product.
| Response | Pubs | % | Owner comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yes — would stock | 14 | 70% | "Customers were asking for it by the end of the week" |
| Considering | 3 | 15% | "Would need to see the price point and minimum order" |
| No — not at this time | 3 | 15% | "Already committed to another premium lager listing" |
Every GNO Insights campaign is built around one question: would real customers buy it again, and would real pub owners stock it? Send a few details and we'll come back to you.
